Our Roots
From Passion to Passion & Professional
Around 20 gamers meet up in the Bärensaal in the village of Worb to have a good time at a small LAN.
The Swiss gaming clan mYinsanity is founded. Cédric Schlosser and Dominique Hostettler are among the first members.
mYinsanity takes part in various LAN parties throughout Europe and competes in tournaments in Switzerland, Germany and England.
The first steps towards professionalism: mYinsanity founds a gaming house in the small town of Kirchlindach near Bern. The board lives there and offers the athletes in the team a place to train.
We sign our first professional. The Korean StarCraft player “Stardust” comes to Bern, lives in the gaming house for board and lodging and takes part in various European tournaments ⎼ and wins.
mYinsanity is no longer a small clan, but at the forefront of international esports. We sign up more athletes, including the future world champions “Reynor” and “Serral”. At peak 14 people from different nations in the gaming house.
MYI organizes the first SwitzerLAN with over 200 participants in the halls of BernExpo.
We also become the best team in Europe in the game Heroes of the Storm and play for international titles. In total, mYinsanity earns over 900,000 dollars in prize money.
Things get serious: we found MYI Entertainment, the first agency for esports & gaming in Switzerland. This is followed by the first Swiss-wide campaigns, presentations and appearances at various events.
In addition to various agency assignments, we don’t miss the opportunity to push our own events: SwitzerLAN now has space for 1337 participants.
Together with BERNEXPO, we launch our own convention: HeroFest.
Our unique esports experiment Team Helix gives five Swiss League of Legends talents the chance to live and train as professionals for a year. Two of these talents then make it into international professional esports.
The next big step. We found MYI Germany to meet the increasing number of international orders.
For the first time, we host the gamescom LAN in Cologne with over 1700 participants and almost 100 content creators. Together, they produce over 830 hours of livestream content.
