Ready, Set, Battle! – The TCS eSports League feat. Fortnite is back

25. June 2025byMYI

MYI has been running the TCS eSports League together with the Touring Club Switzerland (TCS) since 2018, proving that gaming, culture, community and popular sport are all possible at the same time. With the new 2025 season, the ‘TCS eSports League ft. Fortnite’ has a spectacular future ahead of it.

The TCS eSports League – a success story

Since its foundation in 2018, the TCS eSports League has played a key role in shaping the Swiss gaming market. There are currently around two million core gamers in Switzerland. People for whom gaming is not just occasional entertainment, but a serious hobby and a living passion.

The TCS eSports League appeals to precisely this target group and has developed into one of the most important platforms for the Swiss scene. The league’s TikTok channel, operated by MYI, now regularly provides tens of thousands of fans with highlights from the community.

The first major highlight in spring

The TCS eSports League ft. Fortnite has already got off to a successful start in 2025 with the Spring Cup. The game is played in ‘Trios’ mode, in which three players team up to beat the competition – delivering pure excitement and prize money totalling CHF 5,000. But not only is the considerable prize money a novelty in the Swiss scene, the numbers also exceeded all expectations. A total of around 21,000 participants tried their luck. Almost 57,000 fans from Switzerland and abroad watched. The main stream alone clocked up over 1 million streamed minutes.

But the Spring Cup was just the prelude to a total of three Fortnite tournaments in the TCS eSports League in 2025. The spring round will be followed by two more cups in summer and winter, which, together with the first event, will pay out a total prize money of CHF 15,000.

eSports made in Switzerland

Like traditional sporting events, the three Cups 2025 will be staged as a live show for spectators and broadcast live on the Twitch streaming platform. Expert commentators will guide viewers through the action in English and ensure that even complex moves are conveyed in an understandable and entertaining way.

«Esports has long been a part of young people’s lives. With the TCS eSports League, we are creating a space in which gaming is taken seriously – as a competition, as a community and as an opportunity.»
– Markus Brugger, Head of Brand Communications & Sponsoring Touring Club Switzerland

Swiss Fortnite-Pro Noah Rey alias Noahreyli

Stage for young talent

Behind the screens of the TCS eSports League, young talents from all over Switzerland are not only fighting for victory, but also for attention. This year, the focus is once again on Chap, who is ranked first in the Swiss Fortnite Ranking, and Noahreyli, who is right behind him. They are not only among the best-known Fortnite players in Switzerland, but have already won several titles. This year, a good ranking pays off twice over. A sophisticated Swiss Fortnite ranking allows participants to compare themselves both in the TCS eSports League and globally, collect points and move up the ladder.
